Artwork Story

The Golden Lion Pub originally Opened in 1835, the playhouse staged works by Shakespeare, Ben Jonson and Oscar Wilde plus a Charles Dickens farce (yes. Really). There was also a show featuring performing lions, monkeys, dogs and goats. Among the theatre’s better-known audience members were Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. And its managers were also pretty iconic and included Lillie Langtry –mistress of the aforesaid Edward VII – and Hollywood legends Sir Lawrence Olivier and Vivien Leigh.

For me, remaining loyal to the historical elements of this building and its British architecture has been a priority because it is one of the most elegant and famous landmarks of London.

I have spent substantial amount of time and effort on the stone carvings of this building in order to show the true depth of history and remarkable craftsmanship.
